Few bands have captured the perfect formula for insatiable indie-pop quite like Smallpools have. A couple of months ago you would have been hard-pressed to find the band’s name anywhere in the blogosphere, but after a couple of stellar releases (“Dreaming” and “Mason Jar“) the band are making massive rounds of the music world. Their frenetic, high-energy music is like a dose of sun-kissed pop on a warm summer’s day. Every deliriously uptempo track on their new EP is just as infectious as the next. Their sound falls in-line with that of The Colourist and Passion Pit, but something about these boys in-particular seems especially anthemic. Whatever it is — be it their lively delivery or their jovial pace — these boys have got the world in their pocket, and their not prepared to let go of it.
