You may not like to admit it, but you’re probably a fan of Drake. From his witty one-liners to his irresistibly catchy beats, Drake has got it all. Although he has quite a large group of followers, the sheer number of those who acknowledge themselves as “fans” may prove to be much more extensive than I had initially thought.
For those of you who are like me and don’t like to make your presence known at a Drake concert, you can find comfort in the fact that you’re not alone. Like you, Ta-ku has a weakness for the rapper’s catchy hip-hop concoctions — more specifically, “Over.” If you haven’t already heard, the Australian beatmaker’s latest project is entitled “Closet Drake Fans.” As the title suggests, he himself is a Drake fan… rather, a closet Drake fan.
Using clips from Drake‘s 2010 breakout hit “Over,” Ta-ku chops and screws the original into a heavy-hitting hip-hop number. To further his case, Ta-ku incorporates small pieces of trap music as well, which, when put together, don’t seem too out place alongside the MC’s boastful lyrics.
