With their debut album on the way and a brand new set of wheels to promote it, things have been looking pretty good for The Knocks lately. After years of cutting their teeth in the singles game, the boys are ready to release their debut album, 55, on March 4th via Big Beat/Neon Gold. Having picked up some friends along the way, the album’s tracklist reads like a who’s who of new-wave pop. With guest spots from Fetty Wap, Cam’ron, Wyclef Jean, Carly Rae Jepsen, Matthew Koma, Magic Man, Alex Newell, POWERS, Phoebe Ryan, Justin Tranter, Walk the Moon and X Ambassadors, it’s safe to say there will be something for everyone.
Arguably one of the bigger names on that list, Wyclef Jean has joined forces with the DJ duo for their latest single, “Kiss The Sky.” New territory for the Haitian singer, “Kiss The Sky” is a dance record in the truest sense of the word. Combining Wyclef’s soaring vocals with tropical rhythms and a funky bassline, The Knocks have put together a shimmering summer anthem, well ahead of schedule.
