Carly Rae Jepsen‘s E•MO•TION will go down as the most underrated album of 2015. But if there’s a silver lining in all of this, it’s that Jepsen must continue to prove herself as one of pop music’s most lethal forces before she inevitably calls it quits. In order to do that, Jepsen must first win over the indie crowd, and with her cover of Bleachers‘ “Shadow,” the singer did just that.
Today, she continues to solidify her place in the collective conscious of listeners with “Love Me Like That.” Joining forces with two of indie music’s most beloved producers, The Knocks, Jepsen takes aim at the dancefloor, latching onto the spunky, 80’s-inspired beat with her scintillating vocals. Another shining example of Jepsen’s ability to work the dancefloor, “Love Me Like That” has us falling in love with the pop siren all over again.
