What's This?

When you think of The Neighbourhood and Christmas you might think of the band’s breakout hit “Sweater Weather.” But as of today, that connection will change. Earlier today, the group pulled out the big guns with two floor-melting remixes of their new single “Afraid.” The first, provided by Twice As Nice, was a devilish little number, while the second was more a hip-hop-focused effort which was provided by LA’s newest production duo, 4e. While both remixes are stone-cold killers in their own right, The Neighbourhood‘s final release has unsurprisingly attracted the most attention. Picking up where they left off with “Silver,” the boys delve into a deeper, more mysterious realm with this latest single, “Unfair.” Apart from a few quietly chopped vocal clips, the song is entirely instrumental. Clocking in at 2:32, it isn’t a lengthy release, either. Nevertheless, it’s very much in-keeping with the band’s sparse new direction—the one we’ve all been dieing to hear more of since they announced #000000 & #FFFFFF last week.
