Brooklyn-based electronic musician The Range dropped his fantastic debut Nonfiction LP in 2013. This time around he’s amping up the production to include a documentary and extending his collaborative reach beyond the anonymous YouTube samples of his first record to feature artists the producer discovered online. Superimpose was directed by Daniel Kaufman, and “will look at the human stories behind the unknown artists featured on the [new] album.” The documentary will be released in the spring.
Kaufman also shot and directed footage used for the video release of The Range’s new single “Florida.” The track will be featured on his forthcoming album Potential, out March 25th via Domino Records. Watch it below and peep the album trailer above.
