What's This?

As you may be well aware, there has been a large abundance of talent coming out of the Captured Tracks camp for the past couple of years. I have been so impressed with their lineup, that I often catch myself dreaming up hypothetical situations in which my favourite Captured Tracks signees collaborate as one. Happily, after a lot of dreaming (and bit of praying), it looks like my wish has finally come true. In surprising fashion, Jack Tatum of Wild Nothing, Dustin Payseur of Beach Fossils, and Andreas Lagerström of Holograms have joined forces to create a supergroup by the name of The Snow. Earlier today, the trio released their first single, “Memory Loss,” and it’s just as dreamy as you might expect. Set to be released on Record Store Day (April 19th) as a 7-inch, the song is a plaintive little number full of Lagerström’s melancholic moan, gleaming guitars, and many hazy, nostalgic elements that bring to mind memories of The Cure.
