It’s not uncommon to find a jangly pop/rock band in the vibrant city of Melbourne, Australia. Them Swoops, like many other bands that call the city home, have found comfort in the production of foot-tapping, body swaying rock jams that touch on the surf-rock genre. While this style of music has very quickly become the face of the Australian music scene, it hasn’t come without the help of some very talented young bands at the forefront, and one of which is Them Swoops.
“Too Fast For Love,” the band’s second single to-date, is a continuation of the tropical rock vibes found in the band’s first single, “Work Around It.” Like their first, “Too Fast For Love” carries a visibly fun rock vibe that stems into two and a half minutes of undeniably catchy pop rhythms and carefree lyrics. Thanks to a happy-go-lucky set of chords and a breezy chorus, it won’t be long before you’ll be dancing up a storm. There’s no wonder why they describe themselves as sharp-fuzz guitar-psych wig-out explode-pop.
This is definitely a duo to keep an eye out for in the next coming months, particularly with the release of their EP, Glitters, just lurking around the corner. If you’re in a jolly mood (or would really like to be), do yourself a favor and listen to both “Too Fast For Love” and “Work Around It” down below.
