What's This?

One-part Santigold, one-part Azealia Banks, Australia’s rising female rapper and vocalist Tkay Maidza is stealthily making her big break. Born in Zimbabwe and currently based in Adelaide, this just-turned-20 artist can spit just as good as she belt. She spent the better part of last year–which also saw the release of her fantastic debut Switch Tape mixtape– touring Australia, and now Maidza has some much-needed time to record her first full-length album. Here’s a two-month-old banger called “Ghost” to sink your teeth into until the LP meets our ears. The tune was co-written by Maidza and George Maple, and it was produced by Sydney’s producer supergroup What So Not, Baauer, and George Maple.
