What's This?

Last year, Tom Lark made a splash in his native New Zealand with his debut single, “Go Get A Job.” At the time, Lark was nothing more than a kid playing guitar in his bedroom, but it didn’t take long for him to be pulled from his home and thrown into the spotlight. Since then, Lark has inked a deal with Universal Music Australia and had the opportunity to play alongside They Might Be Giants (on two occasions!). Still, it seems as though we’ve yet to witness his greatest accomplishments.

On October 8th, Lark gave us his lengthiest offering to date—his debut EP, Something To Tell You. The EP, which Lark wrote and recorded himself, is a collection of 5 wonderfully polished tunes that toe the line somewhere between pop and rock. “Never Be Your Man,” the EP’s most accessible track, finds Lark caught between a rock and a hard place, distancing himself from his one true love. While the song itself is rather upbeat, the message is simple: I’ll never be your man.
