What's This?

Since the Beatles put Liverpool on the map in the mid-60s, the city’s music scene has flourished. Lately, we’ve seen a number of talented groups make their way onto the world stage, including The Wombats and Circa Waves. Like the aforementioned bands, Venus Demilo are a promising bunch that sport their own brand of heart-on-sleeve rock. With “Sinking Ships,” their second formal release as a band, the quartet demonstrate their knack for writing powerful, full-bodied anthems that come with a message. On this particular occasion, the group describe the feeling of frustration that many millennials encounter when being asked what they’re going to do with their lives. They explain, “It’s about gauging some perspective and not letting the struggles that lie ahead ruin what’s happening right now.”
