What's This?

“Taste The Sky” isn’t your typical pop-rock song. This latest offering from Los Angeles-based quintet, Verre, is a blast from the past, blending lush synths with 90s rock sensibilities. Yet again, this female-fronted act commands attention with their soft, yet powerful vocals, while also delivering a towering chorus. The other members of the band prove equally as talented on this track; most notably, the guitarist, who shows his chops in the closing seconds.

If the song itself weren’t enough, “Taste The Sky” is also accompanied by a beautifully directed music video (or visualette, as the band have described it) for every track off their forthcoming debut EP. The effort is part of their “Frames” series, which aims to pair three of the band’s songs with complementary artwork. The visualette for “Taste The Sky” follows two of the band’s members through Santa Monica’s historic boardwalk, and provides a romantic backdrop for this dreamy tune.

Listen to and watch the video for “Taste The Sky” [here]. You can also see the first of the “Frames” visualettes for the track “BLU” [here], as well.
