For almost two years now, longtime pals Marc Antonio and Michael Paul have been making fresh youthful pop-rock under the name of Antonio Paul. Having been big followers of the group since the beginning, though, we we’re surprised to find out that the boys had not yet taken off like we had initially anticipated — especially considering their singles “City Dreams” and “Sweet Wine” were pure indie-rock gold.
Despite this, the boys have continued the theme of fiery teenage-pop anthems with their new single, “Ariel.” Thanks to some flaring guitar riffs, pounding drum beats and youthful lyricism, the duo have been able to deliver a truly catchy rock track that screams of playful young love — but don’t expect to find that theme in the accompanying music video.
What initially appears to be a video of lighthearted stalking (if that’s even a thing), soon takes an odd, and quite un-expected turn as one of the boys attempts to evade his imminent death following a high-speed chase on his bike(?).
If you are the slightest bit intrigued as to how the video ends, you can check it out down below and do some catching up with the band [here] to help us get the word out about these talented young Aussies.
