What's This?

Fleur & Manu have a history of creating captivating, and at times, eclectic visual accompaniments for some of France’s most well-established artists. As you might recall, the renowned director-duo filmed a trilogy of videos for synth-pop stalwarts, M83, following the release of Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. The series of videos saw the duo delve into a strange, but otherwise fascinating storyline, while incorporating some spectacular CGI. For their newest project, the duo left their motherland for Australia, where they met up with R&B’s lustful new trio, Movement.

With “Ivory” as their point of reference, Fleur & Manu explore one aspect of the human condition: desire. While the video begins with a semi-pornographic clip of two intimate lovers “doing their business,” it takes an interesting turn when the pair throw some abstract art into the mix. As I mentioned before, the video is extremely NSFW. However, if you’re intrigued by what I have already described, you can watch the video on Vimeo [here].
