What's This?

The music video release for Thaiboy Digital featuring Yung Lean is a beautiful piece of videography. The track itself, originally appearing on Thaiboy Digital’s mixtape Tiger and produced by fellow Gravity Boy White Armor, is solemn bordering on melancholy. Thematic darkness feels welcome as the film runs. Scandinavian landscapes surround Lean and Thaiboy as they hike through terrain as hauntingly pristine as it is ice cold. Lyrics bounce off of visuals as the duo wander in the stunning tundra, “Take a trip to Yoshi City, never come back again,” Leandoer echoes, fittingly shrouded in wooded and snow-covered land. In Thaiboy’s verse, a young man currently facing the threat of deportation from Sweden, is spotlit against stark darkness and framed by white fur as he recites with grave sincerity, “came up out of nothing, had to succeed/Baby let me know when you catching feelings.”
