What's This?

We’ve missed the boat far too many times when it comes to We The Wild. The London-based duo have given us more than enough opportunities to redeem ourselves, but we just can’t seem to pull it together. Although we gave their remix of “Drowning Butterflies” rave reviews at the beginning of the year, I think it’s time we show some love to their original material—starting with “Trampoline.”

Here, the duo employ many of the same electrifying elements that they have used in the past: clattering drums, swirling synths and buzzing guitars. It doesn’t take long for the band to catch their stride, though, which the chorus makes very apparent. To give the song a much needed boost, an assortment of instrumentals are sent on a collision course throughout the chorus, which seems to end as quickly as it began.

“Trampoline” will appear on the band’s forthcoming EP, Vol. II, which you can pre-order [here]. You can stream the track down below, and while you’re at it, I suggest you also check out “Float.”
