On past singles “Stay the Night” and “Swan,” Vancouver-based pop princess WILLA showed us her edgier side. With new single “Hey,” however, the singer gets back to basics, toeing the line somewhere between dance and pop. For the song, WILLA has enlisted the help of Mother Mother‘s Ryan Guldemond, who produced the entirety of her forthcoming debut album, Criminals + Dreamers. While the song is a noticeably different direction for WILLA, it goes to show her versatility as an artist.
